Hi,

I'm back! John and I had the most fantastic time on our honeymoon (what a reality check to be back!). We holidayed locally (as we like to support New Zealand businesses). If you're ever in Rotorua we can highly recommend The Silverfern Motor Inn. Their service was impeccable, rooms were clean, comfortable and inviting and with a day spa on sight – Oh pure bliss!!! The most noticeable change this month is our new look newsletter and website... you might also notice my name change, I am now known as Sandy Rothery, for those of you who want to update your records.

During uncertain economic times it is common for businesses to look at reducing marketing spend - viewing it as discretionary, when in fact advertising is a cumulative investment. I cannot stress enough - this is the worst thing you can do! I'm not suggesting you spend obscene amounts of money on an elaborate marketing campaign, but I am pointing out, maintaining contact and reminding customers of your services is essential.

This month we have concentrated on E-marketing, its cost effective and can reach a large number of customers or clients quickly, while reducing costs such as printing and postage. ... but it does need to be managed properly, and there are some legal requirments when sending electronic mail to avoid being acused of sending SPAM. This will establish a good database ready for you to use when you're ready. Once you start sending information, your database will grow.
